This is not an April Fool’s joke.
I finally did something I’ve been wanting to do for a very long time…but never had the courage to or the time or the whatever to do. I submitted one of my children’s book manuscripts to a few publishers. One day about a week ago, I just decided it was timeĀ – past time. So I found about five publishers that I thought would publish a book like the one I had written and then whittled that down to the ones who would take unsolicited manuscripts from an unpublished author with no agent…and I found four. So what’s next?? The waiting game. If I’m lucky (and I mean that sincerely) I’ll hear back in about three months. If they aren’t interested, I’ll hear nothing.
But I did it! Whoo-hoo!
First, thanks for stopping by. The site is being completely overhauled and probably the last section I will address is the Portfolio section. Until it gets updated too, please take a look at Version 1 of my portfolio over here…
I’ve been fighting the good fight the last few days trying to find the “perfect” e-commerce solution. I’ve come to realize that there just isn’t a “one size fits all” in this scenario so will be looking at a few options to offer clients. Right now the front runners are eShop, eStore, Shopp, and wp-ecommerce.
It’s taking a bit more time than anticipated, but the new website design of Dunham Designs is coming along. The entire is being built around the Wordpress framework so there are some exciting things I’m doing. Can’t wait until it’s all complete!
